Who will claim the Vans US Open of Surfing 2016? The event runs from July 23rd-31st, in Huntington Beach, California. The last American to win the iconic contest was Kelly Slater, in 2011, but the US armada will try to recapture the trophy lost to Julian Wilson (2012), Alejo Muniz (2013), Filipe Toledo (2014) and Hiroto Ohhara (2015). Last year, Ohhara raised the Japanese flag and wrote a beautiful story for his country. This time, he will return and do his best to repeat the feat.
