Ellie Turner secured the first ticket to the 2015 European Rip Curl GromSearch finals. The Welsh stage got underway in two-to-three-foot surf, at Freshwater West. Two out of three events have been completed. The UK GromSearch saw Turner claiming the Under 14 and Under 16 Girls divisions, with her smooth carving and powerful turns. She heads to the European finals, to be held somewhere in the Old Continent, in November. There were a lot of waves, as well as sunny skies and competitive vibes in Wales. Tactics and wave management paid off, but the final decisions have been postponed to Watergate Bay, the last event of the British tour.
