Finn McGill and Vahine Fierro claimed the 2017 World Surf League (WSL) World Junior Championship at Bombo Beach, New South Wales, Australia. The final day of competition got underway in wind-affected three-to-four-foot surf and crowned two new future stars of the sport. In the Men’s final, McGill put an end to a less favorable cycle marked by injuries and flight booking mistakes, by smashing Japanese sensation Joh Azuchi in the decisive heat.
