Mexican surfing star Oscar Moncada died in a car accident, in San Pedro Pochutla. Mexico. The tragedy took place near his hometown of Puerto Escondido, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Moncada was driving a Mercedes Benz with two friends – Diego Oropeza and Waldo Rendón. The vehicle collided with a truck. Diego and Waldo died immediately; Oscar was taken to the nearest hospital but did not resist the injuries.
