Australia’s third artificial surf park will be installed at Tompkins Park, just nine kilometers from the heart of Perth. The surf pool – built by the Wave Park Group – will feature the Wavegarden man-made wave system, and it is scheduled to open by Christmas 2018. The announcement comes after the decision to kick off similar projects in Sydney and Melbourne. “A thousand surfers a day, a thousand waves an hour, 15 hours a day, seven days a week. The City of Melville will be the surfing mecca of Western Australia,” adds Russell Aubrey, Mayor of the City of Melville.
