Kelly Slater and Joel Parkinson are out of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach 2015. The quarterfinalists have been decided. In the clash of the event, with less than five minutes remaining, the 2014 ASP World Tour champion rode a smaller inside wave without priority, rapped three turns to land a 7.17 and the win over Slater. “That was pretty close. It was a tough heat against Kelly, I knew it was going to be hard. I’m stoked to be in the quarters; it’s a tough event, and I’m looking for a solid result here,” said Gabriel Medina, who won six out of 11 heats against the Floridian.
