2011 Arnette ASP World Junior Tour – Highlights
BLAME IT ON RIO
With Leila Hurst clinching the women’s event in the 2011 ASP World Junior Tour, the men’s final heats are poised to takes place. The backup venue of Praia Do Diabo was used to complete the men’s Round 4 action in tricky one-to-two foot waves to decide the event’s Quarterfinalists.
Aussie Garrett Parkes won his heat and despite the challenging conditions he’s happy to be advancing through to the final day of competition. Parkes had this to say:
The conditions are terrible and it’s too bad that it has to come down to this. We’re just dealing with it and trying to get through heats. It was a shocker heat and it’s frustrating.
