Evan Geiselman has taken out the Vans Pro 2016, at 1st Street Jetty, Virginia Beach. The surfer born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, defeated two former Vans Pro champions – Michael Dunphy and Pat Gudauskas – and the always dangerous Samuel Pupo in three-foot, wind-affected surf. Geiselman, who survived drowning last year at Pipeline, was always the busiest surfer in the water. He caught 11 waves and found his winning scores in the last couple of rides.
