The 2018 World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship (WSUPPC) will take place in Wanning, China. The International Surfing Association (ISA) announced a change in the venue, as Brazil’s Buzios failed to meet the contractual obligations signed in November 2017. Wanning’s best-known point break – Riyue Bay – has already hosted several ISA events. The Chinese surf spot proved to be a reliable option in the region, delivering consistent waves since it first held a contest in 2012.
