Jesse Mendes has taken out the Billabong Pro Cascais 2016, in Guincho, Portugal. The Brazilian surfer defeated Jeremy Flores in a final held in two-to-three-foot surf. Despite the high winds, both surfers managed to find multiple opportunities in the line-up. However, it was only in the last third of the heat that they build their two-wave total. With six minutes to go, Flores had a comfortable lead over Mendes, but the Brazilian found two high-scoring gems and stole the show.
