The Big Wave Tour (BWT) has added Nazaré’s Praia do Norte to the 2016/2017 schedule. The circuit managed by the World Surf League announced that the Portuguese beach break will challenge the world’s best big wave riders. The new calendar showcases six breaks, three in each hemisphere. But there’s more: the schedule includes a brand new female competition and a qualifying series. Surfers will travel to Chile, Peru, Mexico, Hawaii and Portugal.
