The Surf Rodeo 2014 promises a one-of-a-kind surf competition with bands, beer gardens, bikini cowgirls, a bucking bull, and yellow Volkswagen vans, between 12th-13th July, in Ventura, California. In the land of Dane Reynolds, the surf freestyler runs the show. He will be shaping two replica surfboards that will be used in the Surf Rodeo, and then auctioned off. The event created by JD Drury aims to bring the highly competitive, cut-throat, solemn atmosphere of today’s surf competitions back to its relaxed roots, where fun always comes first.
