Code Yellow. The 2015/2016 Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau is on stand by for February 25th, at Waimea Bay. A final decision will be made early Thursday morning. Surf forecasters are expecting waves in the 20-to-25-foot range (Hawaiian scale) and 10-knot trade winds. It is the second powerful swell to hit the coast of Oahu this week. “These systems are very hard to predict so we will set up for the event, but we will not make the final call until Thursday morning. We don’t want to disappoint anybody, and we will leave it up to the Bay to call the day,” explains Glen Moncata, director of the event.
