Vasco Ribeiro and Tessa Thyssen have conquered the inaugural Espinho Surf Destination, in clean 2-3Ft waves at Praia da Baia, in Espinho, Portugal. The first stop on the European Pro Junior Series saw Vasco Ribeiro being carried up the beach and acclaimed by the crowds, after a tricky final against Natxo Gonzalez, Ethan Egiguren, and Gaspard Larsonneur. In a wave starved final, Ribeiro only caught the required two waves but made the most of every section he was offered and managed to take the win. An undisputed standout, Ribeiro confirmed he could handle everything the ocean threw at him today.
