Ready to catch waves at midnight? Suffering from insomnia? No problem. The world’s first artificial wave pool turned the flood lights on. The night surfing era has just begun. Wavegarden has teamed up with a range of leading technical suppliers to light up their headquarters in Northern Spain. The surf pool masters invited three surfers to test a state-of-the-art lighting system. The result is, at least, truly eye-catching. “Lighting the waves from underneath the water is a new concept and key to Wavegarden’s client proposition. We used software programs to modify the light coverage, intensity, and color. We even managed to install a light on the moving wavefoil to illuminate the wave for the entire length of the lagoon,” explains Josema Odriozola, CEO at Wavegarden.
