The world title race is on, as Kelly Slater and Joel Parkinson lose their Round 3 heats at the Hurley Pro 2013. Lower Trestles’ freight train has caused damages and, among the world title contenders, only Jordy Smith has secured a place in the Quarterfinals. Mick Fanning survived Round 3, but failed to win his Round 4 clash. “I think this contest for me will tell whether I’m in the race or not- For me, I just really want to enjoy these next few events. I want to try and compete as hard as I can and have a lot of fun with it. Win, lose or draw, it doesn’t matter”, explains Jordy Smith.
