PORT HAVEN, Port Macquarie: (Saturday 18th August 2012): Indigenous children from throughout the Hastings had the opportunity to learn to surf today, at the Essential Energy Indigenous Surf Program in Port Macquarie.
Hosting week one of the Australian Surf Festival supported by Essential Energy, Port Macquarie once again turned on the waves for finals day.
Talent stacked the heats on day four of the Australian Surf Festival supported by Essential Energy, as North Haven beach turned on for the Semi-Finals. Open Men and Women graced the waves with high scores dropping across the divisions.
Intense conditions brought 8 foot swell to the local beaches and competitors were back to Diamond Head for Day 2 of the Australian Surf Festival presented by Essential Energy.
Perennial champion Sandra English will be chasing a 12th Australian Title when she heads to Port Macquarie for the Australian Surf Festival supported by Essential Energy from August 11-25.
