The Newcastle City Council Boardriders have conquered the SurfAid Cup Newcastle for the second consecutive year, in pumping four-to-five foot waves at Merewether Beach, New South Wales, Australia. A total of 14 corporate surfing teams raised $40,000 for mother and child programs in remote areas of Indonesia, in Nias, Mentawai islands, Sumbawa and Sumba. KCE (Chris Cashman, Troy Gould, Joe Myson and Paul Van der Velde) who won the fundraising trophy, after collecting $6,489 for SurfAid.
