South African surfing and shaping legend Peter Daniels has passed away at 66. Daniels, who has shaped nearly roughly 40,000 surfboards, won national titles and competed in the World Tour. Peter worked with the planet’s best surfers – Tom Curren, Kelly Slater, Sunny Garcia, Andy Irons, Joel Parkinson, Aritz Aranburu, Jordy Smith and many other rode his boards. In the past 20 years, the South African icon worked with Pukas, the Spanish surfboard company. Peter Daniels was born in Durban, in 1949. He lived an intense life.
